Animateur Lead Post-Production Mocap/Lead Mocap Post Production Animator

What You'll Do Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert for the Post Production team. Provide consistent technical guidance, career advocacy, and actionable feedback to junior and mid-level animators to foster a culture of continuous artistic growth. Work closely with the team to evaluate deliverables from a craft perspective, ensuring that technical quality and anatomical principles are maintained at the highest level. Create game-ready motion-edited or hand-keyed animation for both gameplay and cinematics, ensuring movement adheres to specific project styles and anatomical principles. Contribute to the animation pipeline by developing innovative solutions via JIRA/GIT. You will use HSL, Python, or SQL scripting to automate tasks and optimize workflows. Work with leads to architect setups for motion capture shoots and ready developer rigs for our production pipeline. Act as the Post-Production point of contact for Dev teams. You will lead projects from pre-production through delivery, identifying potential risks early and communicating technical requirements effectively. What Will Make You A Great Fit 5+ years of industry experience, including 2+ years of direct people management or team leadership, and a professional demo reel that demonstrates mastery of animation principles, body mechanics, and advanced mocap workflows. A proven track record of leading or mentoring artists. You possess the passion to elevate a team and the empathy to lead their professional development. Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Maya, Motion Builder, Unreal Engine and Vicon Shogun. Experience with complex character rig setups is a must. Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for pipeline automation and tool development. Ability to think critically and develop creative technical solutions for unique animation challenges.
