Business Systems Administrator (UK)
<p>Location: Uxbridge, Greater London, UK (Hybrid/Onsite)</p><p>Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Employee</p><p>Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 annually</p><p>Position Overview</p><p>We are seeking a hands-on Business Systems Administrator to serve as the primary IT resource for our UK operations. This individual will act as the local "boots on the ground" IT representative, providing end-user support, managing office technology infrastructure, and serving as a liaison between the UK office and the global IT team.</p><p>This role is ideal for a mid-level IT professional who enjoys a blend of systems administration, technical support, project coordination, and infrastructure management. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting an upcoming office relocation while helping establish and maintain a scalable IT environment for future growth.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>Infrastructure &amp; Systems Administration:</p><p>- Manage and support local office IT infrastructure, including:</p><p>- Network switches</p><p>- Firewalls</p><p>- Wireless networking</p><p>- Internet connectivity</p><p>- Workstations and laptops</p><p>Assist with office relocation activities, including:</p><p>- Network setup and deployment</p><p>- Workstation installations</p><p>- Connectivity testing and troubleshooting</p><p>- Coordination with vendors and service providers</p><p>- Support integration of local infrastructure with the company's global IT environment.</p><p>- Maintain hardware inventory and technology documentation.</p><p>End-User Support:</p><p>- Serve as the primary onsite IT support resource for approximately 25–35 users.</p><p>- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.</p><p>- Provide white-glove support for local employees and business stakeholders.</p><p>- Manage user onboarding, offboarding, and account administration.</p><p>- Escalate and coordinate application-related issues with internal subject matter experts when necessary.</p><p>- Microsoft 365 Administration</p><p>Administer Microsoft 365 services including:</p><p>- User account management</p><p>- SharePoint permissions and access</p><p>- Basic tenant administration</p><p>- Identity and access support</p><p>- Support collaboration and productivity tools within the Microsoft ecosystem.</p><p>Vendor &amp; Project Coordination:</p><p>- Act as the primary liaison between the UK office and the corporate IT organization.</p><p>- Coordinate with external vendors, ISPs, and technology partners.</p><p>- Help manage technology-related projects and office initiatives.</p><p>- Support future IT improvement projects, including:</p><p>Mobile device standardization</p><p>- Microsoft Intune implementation</p><p>- Process and infrastructure improvements</p><p>Required Qualifications</p><p>4–7 years of experience in Systems Administration, Desktop Support, or IT Infrastructure roles.</p><p>Strong understanding of:</p><p>- Windows environments</p><p>- Microsoft 365 administration</p><p>- Networking fundamentals (switches, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, firewalls)</p><p>- Endpoint support and troubleshooting</p><p>- Experience supporting small-to-medium business environments.</p><p>- Strong customer service and communication skills.</p><p>- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.</p><p>- Experience coordinating with remote teams across different time zones.</p><p>Preferred Qualifications</p><p>Experience supporting office relocations or infrastructure deployments.</p><p>Familiarity with:</p><p>- Microsoft Intune</p><p>- Endpoint management solutions</p><p>- Dynamics 365 / Business Central environments</p><p>- Experience working within a global organization.</p><p>- Exposure to vendor management and project coordination.</p><p>What Success Looks Like</p><p>- Successfully supports the UK office relocation and technology deployment.</p><p>- Becomes the trusted onsite IT point of contact for local employees.</p><p>- Delivers responsive, high-quality technical support.</p><p>- Maintains a stable and secure local IT environment.</p><p>- Builds strong working relationships with both local staff and the global IT team.</p><p>- Helps drive future IT standardization and growth initiatives.</p><p>- Reporting Structure</p><p>- Reports into Corporate IT leadership.</p><p>- No direct reports initially.</p><p>- Acts as the primary IT representative for the UK office.</p><p>Work Schedule</p><p>- Standard UK business hours.</p><p>- Hybrid work arrangement anticipated following office relocation.</p><p>- Additional onsite presence may be required during major office move and infrastructure projects.</p>
