Construction Project Coordinator (Assistant Project Manager) Location: Falls Church, VA Job Type: Direct Hire Starting Salary: From $73,000/year (higher compensation available based on experience) About the Role We are seeking a motivated Construction Project Coordinator to support the successful planning, execution, and completion of commercial and institutional construction projects. This position is ideal for someone with experience in project management, estimating, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination who is looking to grow within a collaborative construction environment. The successful candidate will assist with managing projects from pre-construction through closeout while ensuring schedules, budgets, safety standards, and quality expectations are met. Position Overview This role manages smaller construction projects valued up to approximately $4 million or supports larger, more complex projects under the direction of senior project management. Projects may include commercial renovations, institutional facilities, design-build work, task order projects, and fast-track construction. The ideal candidate understands the full project lifecycle—from planning and estimating through construction and closeout—and is comfortable working with a variety of project delivery methods, including design-build, IDIQ, lump sum, and fast-track projects. While much of the work is coordinated through subcontractors, experience managing self-performed work is highly valued.
