Engineering Manager - Team Intelligence

<p>At <a target="_blank" href="https://www.voyado.com">Voyado</a>, we’re building the intelligence layer that powers analytics, insights, and AI-driven experiences for retailers across Europe.</p><p>We’re now looking for an Engineering Manager to lead Team Intelligence — a growing team of Analytics Engineers and Data Analysts responsible for analytics products, reporting capabilities, and the data foundations that enable trusted decision-making across our platform.</p><p>This is a unique opportunity to combine people leadership with technical influence. Your primary mission will be to help the team grow and succeed, while also contributing to the technical direction of our analytics platform together with architects and senior engineers.</p><p>You’ll work closely with Area Lead <a target="_blank" href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/robin-bodin-b5a6ab35/">Robin Bodin</a>, an experienced engineering leader, who will support you in both your leadership journey and the continued development of Team Intelligence. Whether you’re already an Engineering Manager or a Tech Lead ready to take your first step into formal people leadership, we’d love to hear from you.</p><h4><span>About the role</span></h4><p>As Engineering Manager for Team Intelligence, you’ll lead a team working at the intersection of analytics, data and AI.</p><p>You’ll be responsible for creating an environment where people can do their best work, ensuring sustainable delivery, and helping the team develop both their capabilities and ways of working. At the same time, you’ll stay close to the technology, supporting technical discussions and helping guide decisions around data products, analytics platforms, and modern data architecture.</p><h5>In this role, you will:</h5><ul><li><p>Lead, coach, and support Analytics Engineers and Data Analysts through regular 1:1s, feedback, and development conversations.</p></li><li><p>Create clarity around priorities, ownership and team ways of working.</p></li><li><p>Partner with architects and area leads to help shape technical direction and long-term improvements.</p></li><li><p>Support technical decision-making and help balance short-term delivery with long-term sustainability.</p></li><li><p>Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing engineering culture.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the org.</p></li></ul><h4>Who you are</h4><p>We’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation and a genuine passion for helping teams succeed. As a leader, you’re someone who builds trust, encourages ownership, and creates an environment where people can do their best work. You’re curious, collaborative, and comfortable balancing long-term improvements with the realities of day-to-day delivery.</p><p>Also someone who is comfortable navigating technical discussions and contributing to decisions around data products, analytics platforms, and modern data architecture. While this is first and foremost a leadership role, we believe great leadership in this environment comes from understanding the challenges your team faces and being able to provide both support and technical guidance when needed.</p><p><strong>We also believe you have:</strong></p><ul><li><p>A strong technical background within Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering or Data Analytics.</p></li><li><p>Experience leading people formally or informally as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, Team Lead, or similar.</p></li><li><p>An interest in coaching, mentoring, and helping others develop.</p></li><li><p>The ability to contribute to discussions around data modelling, analytics engineering, semantic layers, data products, and modern data architectures.</p></li><li><p>Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.</p></li><li><p>dbt, Databricks, Spark SQL, or similar technologies.</p></li><li><p>BI and analytics platforms.</p></li><li><p>AI, ML, or data product environments.</p></li></ul><h4><span><strong>High Impact.
