Junior AI Engineer

<p><strong>What will you do?</strong></p><p>As a Junior AI Engineer at Rebtel you are someone who has already shipped AI-powered products and wants to accelerate their growth in a fast-moving environment. This is not a research role. We want someone who can turn AI capabilities into business impact.</p><p>You'll work closely with teams to build, deploy, and improve AI systems that create measurable value across the organization. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and production software development.</p><p><strong>Areas of ownership:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Build AI-powered applications using modern LLMs and agent frameworks.</p></li><li><p>Design, implement, and optimize RAG systems using vector databases and enterprise data sources</p></li><li><p>Develop internal AI tools that improve productivity, quality, automation, customer experience, and decision-making</p></li><li><p>Create evaluation frameworks to measure AI quality, reliability, latency, and business impact</p></li><li><p>Work with product and business stakeholders to identify high-impact AI opportunities.</p></li><li><p>Integrate AI capabilities into existing products and workflows</p></li><li><p>Monitor, debug, and continuously improve production AI systems.</p></li><li><p>Stay current with emerging AI technologies and recommend practical applications.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li><p>You are an excellent communicator and collaborator. We work in English, but you will hear many languages in our Stockholm office</p></li><li><p>Professional experience developing and deploying AI-powered applications, including hands-on work with Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG systems, and platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or open-source models.</p></li><li><p>Experience building and deploying RAG based solutions.</p></li><li><p>Experience with APIs, databases, and cloud environments.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search, and model evaluation.</p></li><li><p>Ability to independently build prototypes and ship features.</p></li><li><p>Experience with LangChain or similar frameworks is a plus</p></li><li><p>It's a plus with experience with vector databases such as Pinecone or pgvector.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with agentic workflows and tool calling is a plus</p></li><li><p>It's a bonus if you have experience deploying AI applications to production.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of AI observability and evaluation platforms is a plus</p></li><li><p>Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus</p></li></ul><p><strong>Why Rebtel?</strong></p><p><span>Rebtel has been connecting people across borders for nearly 20 years.
