Network Automation Engineer / Developer [Try'n'Hire]

<p>We are looking for an experienced Network Automation Engineer / Developer to join a global infrastructure team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain automation solutions that improve and support daily network operations in a large enterprise environment.</p><p>This is a try-and-hire opportunity. The assignment begins as a consulting engagement and is intended to transition into permanent employment with the client after approximately 6–12 months.</p><h2>Your Responsibilities</h2><ul><li><p>Design, develop, and maintain Python-based automation solutions</p></li><li><p>Automate configuration deployment, compliance checks, and data collection</p></li><li><p>Integrate network devices and platforms using REST, NETCONF, RESTCONF, and gRPC APIs</p></li><li><p>Develop tools for incident response, troubleshooting, inventory, and validation</p></li><li><p>Collaborate closely with network engineers and architects</p></li><li><p>Maintain code repositories, documentation, and reusable automation frameworks</p></li><li><p>Promote automation best practices and code quality</p></li></ul><h2>Required Skills and Experience</h2><ul><li><p>Strong enterprise networking background</p></li><li><p>Experience with Cisco and Juniper environments</p></li><li><p>Advanced Python development skills</p></li><li><p>Experience with Ansible, Nornir, Netmiko, and NAPALM</p></li><li><p>Experience with APIs and structured data formats such as JSON, YAML, and XML</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with Git and CI/CD concepts</p></li><li><p>Experience troubleshooting production networks</p></li><li><p>At least 5 years of experience in a similar role and 10+ years of total professional experience</p></li></ul><h2>Nice to Have</h2><ul><li><p>Experience with Palo Alto firewalls</p></li><li><p>Network telemetry and observability platforms</p></li><li><p>IPAM and source-of-truth systems such as NetBox</p></li><li><p>SD-WAN, SDN, or Apstra experience</p></li><li><p>Azure or AWS networking</p></li><li><p>Certifications such as CCNP, DevNet, or JNCIS</p></li></ul><h2>Personal Qualities</h2><ul><li><p>Analytical and solution-oriented</p></li><li><p>Passion for automation and continuous improvement</p></li><li><p>Structured and quality-focused</p></li><li><p>Strong communication and collaboration skills</p></li></ul><h2>Other Information</h2><ul><li><p>Start date: As soon as possible</p></li><li><p>Employment model: Try-and-hire</p></li><li><p>Initial consulting period: Approximately 6–12 months</p></li><li><p>Planned transition to permanent employment with the client after the initial period</p></li><li><p>Work model: Hybrid</p></li><li><p>Location: Sweden</p></li></ul><h2>Application Instructions</h2><p>Please submit your CV in English together with your earliest possible start date, preferred delivery model, and hourly rate.</p>
