Observability Engineer

We are looking for an Observability Engineer for our client in the banking sector. Description: You will be joining and working as a member in a small Telemetry team. The team is designing, developing, and maintaining observability solutions and data flows in Technology Services unit (part of Retail Products and Core Technology Service Area) to provide end users with various Grafana and PowerBI dashboards. Responsibilities: - Participate actively in team's own planning sessions, suggest improvements, and bring new ideas - Co-operate with other technical experts and various other stakeholders - Participate in implementation work and troubleshoot any technical issues on your own area Must have skills: - Observability fundamentals; metrics, logs, traces ("three pilars") - Data visualization best practices - Data source configuration from various sources such as Prometheus, InfluxDB, or AppDynamics - Dashboard design: panels, rows, variables/templating, transformations - Provisioning as code / Infrastructure as code - Grafana / Grafana Alerting - Git/Bitbucket - JSON proficiency - Scripting (Bash / Python) - Excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills - Application development or engineering experience - Graduate degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication and/or related fields - Fluent English Preferred skills: - Hands-on experience with Splunk - Hands-on experience with AppDynamics - Hands-on experience with PowerBI - Experience working in international projects or teams working with agile methodologies Allocation: 100% Assignment start date: 1.9.2026 Assignment end date: 31.12.2026 Location: Helsinki, Finland Language: Fluent in English, both written and spoken Please note, should your candidate be selected for the assignment, Ework will request documentation in accordance with the Act on the Contractor’s Obligations and Liability (Tilaajavastuulaki), as well as proof of valid liability insurance.
