Packaging Specialist
On behalf of our client we are seeking a Packaging Specialist. In this role you will support Tetra Pak in managing their engagement in development of standards related to the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) including active participation in the European standardisation institute (CEN) workgroup(s) for development and revision of packaging technical standards, as representative of the Swedish Standardisation Institute (SIS), as well as actively manage internal Tetra Pak related activities to execute on agreed actions within CEN workgroups. This includes participation in internal workstreams related to (but not limited to) PPWR, D&T development activities and Corporate Affairs. The work comprises monitoring and influencing the development of PPWR related CEN standards and specifications in line with directions given by Tetra Pak’s internal analysis, the relevant industrial organizations and the relevant SIS standardisation committee. Key responsibilities: Represent Tetra Pak as SIS TK 165 expert in CEN Work Groups (WG), primarily CEN TC 261/SC 4/WG 10 and relevant sub-groups. Coordinate internal alignment and analysis to prepare for active participation in CEN WGs, as well as relevant industry associations. Potentially participate in industry association workstreams or other regulatory working groups Participation and potentially leading internal Tetra Pak workstreams Qualifications: Experience from industrial standards development, interpretation of regulations and understanding about the interplay between industry associations, national and international standardisation institutes, and legislators. Deep knowledge about the European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and understanding of its implications for packaging industry, goods producers, retailers, and recyclers in Europe. Master’s degree or similar in relevant Science and/or Engineering field, particularly with knowledge and experience about polymers and fibre materials. Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, negotiation and communication skills. Documented experience of agile project planning in a dynamic and changing environment, risk management and documentation. Very good command of the written and spoken English language.
