Project Leader (Pre-Study)

For our client we are looking for a Project Leader (Pre-Study) 1. Background The client operates with a standard production and distribution setup in regards to the flow of goods from manufacturing to end customer. With one exception, our Fanar product brand remain operating as per their original model designed to support a predominantly local market, with planning and distribution handled locally and a significant share of products delivered directly from a local warehouse. The business is now shifting towards increased international sales, broader product offerings, and stronger integration across markets. This creates new requirements for scalability, efficiency, and consistency. The current setup differs from standard supply chain practices used in the wider organization, leading to additional complexity and limiting scalability. Recent operational challenges have also highlighted weaknesses in planning, governance, and coordination. A structured pre-study is therefore required to evaluate alternative supply chain models and provide a clear recommendation for the future setup. This pre-study is also intended to contribute to establishing a more standardized approach for supply chain assessments across the organization. The outcome should support future decision-making within the broader governance structure for supply chain design and strategy initiatives. 2. Assignment and Deliverables The Project Leader will lead a structured pre-study to assess and recommend the most appropriate future supply chain setup. The role includes structuring the work, managing stakeholders, and delivering decision-ready outputs. • Current State Assessment: Document the current setup, including flows, costs, service performance, and key challenges. • Evaluation of Alternatives: Compare different supply chain models, including local, centralized, and hybrid options, across cost, customer impact, complexity, scalability, and feasibility. • Business Impact Analysis: Provide a clear overview of financial and operational implications for each option. • Final Recommendation: Deliver a clear recommendation with rationale, key trade-offs, risks, and high-level implementation considerations & recommendation for a standardized framework for feasibility studies, including methodology, key steps, and required analyses. The framework should be designed to be reusable across future supply chain design and strategy initiatives and include perspectives such as operations, planning, and overall network implications. • Stakeholder Alignment: Lead workshops and ensure alignment with key stakeholders throughout the project. 3. Key Experience and Competences The Project Leader should have a strong track record of leading complex supply chain or operations projects in international environments. • Strong understanding of supply chain processes (planning, warehousing, distribution). • Experience in supply chain design or network optimization. • Ability to analyze cost structures and operational trade-offs. • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. • Ability to structure complex topics and drive decision-making. • Experience from manufacturing or industrial environments is preferred. 4.
