Senior Platform Engineer - Recruitment

<p>We are recruiting a Senior Platform Engineer for employment with one of our clients in Gothenburg. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, taking ownership of key platform areas, and driving continuous improvements across identity, security, cloud, and datacenter services.</p><p>The role suits a self-driven engineer who thrives in a technically deep environment and wants to contribute to a modern platform built on automation, Zero Trust principles, and cloud-first operations.</p><p><strong>About the role</strong><br>You will join a platform team with an important role in building a secure, cloud-driven, and globally unified IT environment. The position is part of a broader digital transformation journey, with strong focus on modern platform engineering, automation, security, and operational excellence.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Act as a senior technical specialist across identity, Azure infrastructure, hybrid environments, and core datacenter services</p></li><li><p>Lead troubleshooting of complex incidents, platform issues, and performance challenges</p></li><li><p>Take ownership of configurations, lifecycle management, and long-term technical quality</p></li><li><p>Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable technical improvements</p></li><li><p>Independently plan, prioritize, and execute work in line with platform roadmaps and operational needs</p></li><li><p>Coordinate technically with engineers, architects, and project teams</p></li><li><p>Implement and optimize Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity, Conditional Access, MFA, and Privileged Access Management</p></li><li><p>Support and strengthen Zero Trust architecture and modern authentication flows</p></li><li><p>Automate provisioning, configuration, and identity operations using tools such as PowerShell, Terraform, or Bicep</p></li><li><p>Build scripts, tools, and pipelines to reduce manual work and improve platform reliability</p></li><li><p>Use Azure Monitor, Defender, Sentinel, and Log Analytics to improve monitoring, visibility, and detection</p></li><li><p>Contribute to security hardening across identity, endpoints, servers, and cloud infrastructure</p></li><li><p>Ensure alignment with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS benchmarks</p></li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li><p>At least 5 years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, identity services, or cloud/infrastructure operations</p></li><li><p>Strong expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC, and hybrid identity</p></li><li><p>Solid experience troubleshooting advanced cloud or infrastructure issues</p></li><li><p>Practical hands-on experience with PowerShell, Terraform, or Bicep</p></li><li><p>Good understanding of Zero Trust principles</p></li><li><p>Experience with Azure infrastructure, monitoring, and security tooling</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently and deliver technical solutions end-to-end</p></li><li><p>Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical teams</p></li><li><p>Fluent in English</p></li></ul><p><strong>Nice to have</strong></p><ul><li><p>Experience from global or multi-site IT environments</p></li><li><p>Experience from security-driven platform modernization</p></li><li><p>Microsoft certifications within Identity, Azure, or Cybersecurity</p></li><li><p>Other relevant certifications such as CISSP or CCNP</p></li><li><p>Experience working in regulated or business-critical environments</p></li></ul><p><strong>Other information</strong></p><ul><li><p>Location: Gothenburg</p></li><li><p>Employment type: Permanent employment with our client</p></li><li><p>Start date: According to agreement</p></li><li><p>Language: English</p></li></ul><p><strong>Application</strong><br>Please submit your CV and a short motivation describing your relevant experience within platform engineering, identity, Azure, and automation.</p>
