Senior Software Developer – C++ & Python

<p><span>We are looking for a Senior Software Developer with strong C++ and Python skills to join a team that plays a central role in improving software quality, engineering practices, and developer productivity.</span></p><p><span>In this position, you will work at the intersection of software development, quality engineering, and developer enablement. Your work will help engineering teams build high-quality software more efficiently by providing tools, automation, guidance, and technical expertise.</span></p><h2><span>What You'll Be Doing</span></h2><p><span>As part of a small team of experienced engineers, you will:</span></p><ul><li><p><span>Develop and maintain internal applications and services that support software quality initiatives.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Build solutions that help development teams comply with established engineering standards and Definition of Done requirements.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Work with quality metrics such as static code analysis, code coverage, and other indicators that contribute to robust software development practices.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Provide technical guidance and support to development teams across the organisation.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Contribute to both backend and, where applicable, full-stack development activities.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Support deployment processes and continuously improve the developer experience.</span></p></li></ul><p><span>A significant part of the role involves engaging with other engineering teams, understanding their challenges, and helping them implement effective and scalable solutions.</span></p><h2><span>Technical Environment</span></h2><p><span>The team primarily focuses on supporting the development of embedded C++ software delivered to customers.</span></p><p><span>Key technologies include:</span></p><ul><li><p><span>Modern C++</span></p></li><li><p><span>Python</span></p></li><li><p><span>Software quality and analysis tools</span></p></li><li><p><span>CI/CD and automation solutions</span></p></li><li><p><span>AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and other agentic coding solutions</span></p></li></ul><h2><span>What We're Looking For</span></h2><p><span>To succeed in this role, you should have:</span></p><ul><li><p><span>Extensive experience developing software in C++.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong Python development skills.</span></p></li><li><p><span>A solid understanding of software engineering best practices and code quality principles.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience working in agile development environments.</span></p></li><li><p><span>The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate with multiple teams.</span></p></li><li><p><span>A proactive mindset and a genuine interest in improving how software is developed and delivered.</span></p></li></ul><h3><span>Nice to Have</span></h3><ul><li><p><span>Full-stack development experience.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with developer productivity platforms and internal engineering tools.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Knowledge of embedded software development.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience using AI-assisted development tools in your daily work.</span></p></li></ul>
