We are now seeking two dedicated and structured Student Care Resources (Socialpedagoger) for grades 4-6 and 7-9 to join our team in August 2026.The Role and Responsibilities The Socialpedagog is responsible for supporting and assisting students in various aspects of their school life, focusing heavily on their social, emotional, and behavioral wellbeing to ensure a positive learning environment. Working under the supervision of the Assistant Principal, you will collaborate closely with the Student Wellbeing Team (SWT), Heads of Year (HoY), and Year Teams to provide vital pastoral and behavioral support. Key responsibilities include: - Student Engagement: Building deep, trusting relationships with the student body. - Visibility: Maintaining an active, calm presence in corridors, stairwells, and common areas. - Behavioral & Social Support: Facilitating and uniformly enforcing school rules and the consequence ladder; leading individual student interventions; and assisting with anti-bullying investigations and mediation. - Preventative Work: Serving as an active member of the Student Wellbeing Team to implement the school’s Plan Against Abusive Treatment (PMKB) and the Yearly Wheel for Preventative Work. - Collegial Support and Collaboration: Attending weekly Year Team meetings, guiding staff on behavior management, assisting with the yearly class-mixing process, and coordinating with parents and external authorities. - School Environment: Managing routines surrounding our mobile-free environment and helping the school maintain a clean and safe campus.Who Are You? We are looking for an active, visible role model who wholeheartedly promotes IES values to ensure a safe and calm learning climate. To be successful in this role, you should possess: - A qualification in social pedagogy (Socialpedagog), behavior science, or an equivalent school-related discipline. - Prior experience working with children or teenagers in a school environment. - Exceptional communication and constructive listening skills, with a proven ability to handle and de-escalate conflicts calmly under pressure. - A collaborative mindset; you are a flexible team player but equally comfortable taking ownership of independent administrative tasks and documentation. - Strong IT proficiency, with an understanding of school documentation systems (working knowledge of Pro-Renata and SchoolSoft is highly advantageous). - Working knowledge of Swedish is advantageous, alongside a comfort working in an international environment where English is widely spoken.
