Explore more at mittlogik.se Summary: We’re looking for a Software Architect to take ownership of the end-to-end architecture of our next-generation automotive infotainment platform. You’ll operate at the intersection of hardware, Linux, and Android, ensuring technical coherence, driving key decisions, and enabling teams to move fast with clarity. Responsibilities Own and evolve the overall software architecture for an advanced automotive infotainment ECU. Ensure seamless integration across hardware abstraction layers, Linux kernel components, and Android/AOSP platform services. Lead technical discussions with hardware, platform, system, and validation teams to resolve dependencies and align design decisions. Run architectural reviews and enforce industry and automotive compliance standards. Translate customer requirements and system constraints into a scalable, maintainable architecture. Steer Android OS upgrade programs (e.g., Android 12 → Android 14), defining migration strategy, risk areas, and compatibility paths. Promote architectural excellence through documentation, knowledge sharing, and mentoring of development teams. Key Qualifications Solid experience as a Software Architect or Lead Engineer in embedded or automotive software. Strong expertise in Android/AOSP internals, system services, HAL layers, and Linux kernel behavior. Deep understanding of automotive HW interfaces (GMSL, Ethernet, FPD-Link, CAN). Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and C/C++; Python experience is a plus for automation/tooling. Background in system integration, CI/CD workflows, and complex multi-vendor delivery environments. Hands-on experience leading Android OS upgrade or migration efforts. Strong communicator who can influence architectural direction across diverse technical teams.
